Freedom of Expression tag nomination :)

Hello, pink frosting sugar cakes and sparkling glitter cupcakes!

I hope you guys are enjoying a bright day and magical nights as per your time zone. Well, I am just writing this post under this fine cool moonlight that is peeping into my room through the giant window I have right next to me. The weather is amazing and hopefully, that it might rain tonight 🙂

Well, coming towards the topic, I was given a yummy task by one of the most beautiful and talented sugar cake bloggers in my cosy nook whom I love to read. I am so proud to have her with me and you guys should follow her too. Thank you so much sunbae for nominating me for this fun challenge! Shot out to the one and only:

The Rendezvous Club

So, the task is that I have to write anything about the tag topic that The Rendezvous Club gave me. The topic that I got today is “Restart”. I have to post an article, picture or a poetry about the topic “restart” and at the end, I will nominate any three sugar cakes of mine to write about the topic tag I will give them. Let the fun begin!

I couldn’t sleep the whole last night because I had to write that article of mine Prostitution is a sin but are these prostitutes the real sinners? When I was done with it, the clock was already striking 6 in the morning. I shut down the laptop and lied down on my couch. While curling in the bed, I suddenly got this feeling of sending a hope-message to my creampie friends. So I started typing a morning text to some girls and boys in my contact list who are suffering from minor to chronic depression and thus, being a better human being now, I try to make them feel happy and important on and off by sending them random text messages and motivational images. We are having our summer vacations so hugs and cuddles of comfort are not a choice anymore. Well, if the feelings are pure and intentions are good, text messages are not a bad option as well.

Prostitution is a sin but are these prostitutes the real sinners?

The brothel owner said if I don’t work, she’ll kill me and if I don’t do the business, she’ll sell me. They beat me with sticks. If I refused, they would’nt give me any food.

-Guddi (A young prostitute at Indian brothel)

Biggest Brothel in India:

India is ranked to be the number 1 country that is dangerous for women. Rape of women and beheading them is very common. It is not that India has some specific drawback or people over there are rotten. We all have such people, who are the true definition of “terrorists” in our own society and states. Maybe in a small amount than that in India, but we do have. This is a time to support each other against this rather than playing that same rotten blame game that is being played by nations since forever. If India is ranked #1 for rape and street crime, we will be laughing at them making fun of their despair. We should be shameful for mocking at the helplessness and despair of any state or nation because our country might be the next one. Brothels that are being run by people in different areas are a place of horror, despair and hopelessness. Just watch the video below and think for a moment that will any girl ever want a life like this for her? Will any girl ever opt for this life of pain and merciless brutality?
Never!

Prostitution is not a job. The inside of a woman’s body is not a workplace”

We have such a horrendous attitude towards humanity that many people out there die silently just because they can’t face us due to the artificial living standards and dogma of higher expectations we have built in every society as per our beliefs and traditions. We are just shrinking the diameter of this “superficial expectation circle” around ourselves day by day due to which others are literally choking not being able to live up to those expectations and artificial beliefs. We all are constructing this boundary of higher values and social code of conduct day by day making it almost impossible for weaker members of our society including prostitutes to live and survive. They cannot live like us because we will anyhow kill their soul by addressing them as a worthless piece of barren land that is of no use to us anymore, women will be hesitant to give them jobs due to security issues, mothers will not trust them due to their dirty past. This is how we are disdaining the rights of many help seekers out there who need us. We keep opening schools for transgenders, disable and special people every day. What is the real error of prostitutes? Just because someone raped them and threw them into this dirty slum brothel? Just because a baby girl was born into the brothel from a slave prostitute and a filthy client who just fulfilled his fantasy and went away? Just because those pretty hopeless girls were trafficked and brought to this hell? Is that so?

“Where I used to live we were extremely poor. So I asked my neighbour to help me find work. She said her daughter earned $5 a week as a maid in Mumbai. That sounded a lot to us. So I said okay I’ll go. I was 11 years old then, I was really little. I was taken to the 14th lane in Kamathipura. They told me I’m here to have sex with men. I refused, and asked to be put on the train home but they beat me severely and the woman they left me with held my hands and her daughter held my legs down and the customer forced himself down on me. For three months I was in hospital.”
-Guddi (Indian Prostitute)

There is a booming sex trade of virgins as they decrease the risk of sexually transmitted diseases. Virgin children are brought to the brothel and caged into the dark boxes told one of the prostitute rescuers. Pretty little girls are brought to such a dystopia for destroying their future and hopes. This is literally the end of humanity.

The biggest brothel in Bangladesh:

My neighbour kidnapped me. He sold me for $415. I can’t leave until that dept has been paid. In the first days, I truly suffered. Everything hurt. But slowly, I have learnt to deal with it, physically and mentally.

-Eithee (Young prostitute at Bengali Brothel)

I am a prisoner who is being watched. They are afraid I might run away and they’d lose money.
-Eithee (Young prostitute at Bengali Brothel)

People always say, “your sister’s working streets.” And they insult us. If she wanted to do something else, they’d always remind her that she used to be a prostitute.
-brother of Khushi

If one day I leave here and go back into real society, if anyone knows I am from here they will say I am not a good person.
-Khushi (Prostitute)

Do you believe in true love? -Yes, I do this job out of love, for my siblings and my mother. I’d like to have children, but that is not an option here. They’d immediately be branded. But if I was to live outside and was married, that would be good. If you’re in a relationship here, men beat the women and take their money.
-Khushi (Prostitute)

I don’t care if it kills me, as long as I can earn a living. Allah called them home. When He calls, I will go as well.
-Kaalee (Prostitute at a bengali brothel)

When I work the streets and the children are there, the clients leave. The children ask questions. They know I am doing this for them. So they’ll have food. I always tell them I’ll stop as soon as possible.
Bathakaaya (Bengali Prostitute)

My kids are born on the streets. I was desperate and couldn’t raise them. I wanted them to learn, to eat and to have a good life. I feel guilty. It’s hard. I’ve asked Allah to call me home. I took a saari. I attached it to the fan and committed suicide. The little boy came in and screamed mummy! mummy! He was pulling on the fan. Another boy came in and they cut down the sari and I fell on the bed.

Selling sex in the Dominican Republic:

Prostitution is most common among teens due to child abuse and maltreatment from their families. Families beat them up and throw them out of their life. Many girls have nowhere to go so they chose prostitution as a medium to earn money and support their kids. Men just come and leave, they have no idea that somewhere, a poor lady labelled as a filthy prostitute is actually the mother of his own son or daughter.

I go to ask for forgiveness because I commit a lot of sins. The job I do is a really big sin. I feel ashamed and I’m afraid of God. Prostitution, it’s a sin. But one day this will end.
-Frandi James (Prostitute at Dominican Republic)

I say I am strong because of all I’ve put up with. My grandma treated me very badly. She hit me a lot. My mother never visited nor did my father. I’d see her maybe once a year. She hit us a lot everyday.
-Frandi James (Prostitute at Dominican Republic)

I had to wait for clients to send me money to get register for school. Thank God I am studying now. And when I finish, I want to work in a call centre. So I can be an example to my son. So he doesn’t see me as I am now.
-Frandi James (Prostitute at Dominican Republic)

In the end, I would just like to ask a simple question from every mother, father, brother, sister, man, woman and husband to look at their pretty little daughter playing around them right now. How her chubby cheeks are wet with the mango juice and her tiny clothes soaked in water that she threw on her accidentally. How her tiny feet move to and fro in excitement and joy whenever she looks at you. Can you ever imagine her to be under the custody of some filthy men with a horrendous mind aka so-called clients? Can you ever think of your baby girl crying out of pain for something she never even thought about? Just imagine your mothers, sisters, wives and loved ones to be working in these filthy and rotten brothels. Just think! Think before you go to the same brothels or maybe the lavish ones for fulfilling your 30-minutes-lust.
These prostitutes are not working because they find it good for them. The never chose this fate for them. They were brought to the brothels forcefully. Harshness and brutality have reached to their limits when we look at the brothel videos on youtube, Dailymotion, Vimeo and where not. They are also someone’s daughters who are slaughtering their souls while sacrificing their bodies for drivers, mechanics, sweepers, shopkeepers, drunkards, drug addicts, taxi drivers, dung cleaners, and lower classmen. They would have also dreamed of prince charming and magical pegasus but all they got is a cruel brothel owner and dirty clients who even don’t look like human beings. They are worst than animals.

The basic purpose of this post is to extend your hands towards these deserving women and give them a ray of hope that they can also survive in this superficial society rather than rejecting and degrade them. Don’t forget that it is people like you and me, who are promoting this business come violence. We all need to put a stop to it before these strong roots of child trafficking and abuse might someday snatch away our precious gems from us. Where would we find them? Of those horrible dark virgin trap boxes, which dark box will your daughter be in? How many locks will you get opened up by those brothel owners? In which brothel will you go then to find your own baby girl?
Just think and spread awareness!
