It’s your birthday, Zarbakht! I heard Siri calling my name in a very awkward fashion as she always does. I unlocked my phone while typing my assignment with one hand and my phone displayed November 1, 2018, 12:00 am at the home screen. Oh, well! It’s actually my birthday today. I had some silly conflicts with my younger sister due to which she didn’t do anything special for my birthday so I wasn’t expecting a midnight cake at least. 

I turned off my laptop, went downstairs and straight into the kitchen. I was so lost that I didn’t even smell the strong aroma of the cake that was baking inside the oven right beside me. I bumped into my mum and she started laughing and said, Oh no! we were preparing for your birthday surprise. 😀 And I was like WOW! I was unaware of that but you disclosed the secret by mistake. So, at 12 am I was presented this beautiful cupcake to cut and make a wish upon.

After the midnight birthday celebrations were over and everybody went to their rooms, I sneaked into the kitchen to make fresh ramen that was also a pre-birthday present for me as my bae bae knows that I am foody as hell. 😀 So I made this birthday ramen as a toast to myself!

My birthday was an official holiday due to some social issues and most of the educational institutes were closed due to which I got a lot of pre and post birthday presents. And also, celebrated my birthday multiple times with different people. So, this post is a compilation of all the celebrations and birthday presents 🙂 This was a great opportunity for me because students and teachers were not coming and I was free to celebrate my birthday without any bounds and constraints. I had a full day to chill out and celebrate!

I woke up much earlier than I usually do so that I might do an exceptional makeup for my birthday (just to look different than usual). Although I started looking too extra that I had to go to my best friend’s hostel to remove some makeup 😀 Ha-ha, am I the only one who looks great everyday but whenever there is a special occasion, you start looking pathetic than ever. Well, this was my birthday look:

When I reached Saira’s hostel, she was all ready with my birthday present and wished me the happiest birthday with her signature bear hug that I really cherish. 😀 <3

I and bae had plans for something traditional to eat on this birthday as we have been eating a lot of junk food lately. But first, let my bae buy some presents for me. Despite the fact that I love surprises, my bae always asks me to buy things of my own choice. 😀 So I went to my favorite place- none other than Miniso and bought my favorite things.

I bought these presents and some other as well but unfortunately, I don’t have their pictures and they are used enough to be captured now. 😀 After coming out of the Miniso, we went to the nearest toiletries shop to buy some winter essentials like socks, body mist, highlighter, mascara, eyeliner, eyelash extensions, and other things of daily use.

I also got presents from my beautiful boo-boos Basma and Ausaaf that I absolutely loved and adored. Thank you so much, darlings! <3

After buying the essentials, we headed to the bazaar in search of boots and successfully, I bought one in wedges and one in pencil heels both for casual and formal events respectively.

And here is the most amazing birthday present that I received yesterday. It came from my favorite teacher. <3

By the time we were done with the presents shopping, we were hungry like an encaged lion. So we turned on the google map and started to search for the best Shinwari (a traditional mutton roast or curry) restaurant in our vicinity. Sadly, all the restaurants around us were not good enough due to poor sitting areas. So we headed straight to the food street that is the only center of all the traditional food items in Islamabad with many expensive yet classy restaurants. We chose Khyber Darbar as it was the finest restaurant there and ordered a very traditional lamb shinwari (lamb mutton dish). The food was amazing and the place was nice and fancy yet traditional.

When I went back home, my mum cooked us pizza for my birthday and it was the yummiest and healthiest pizza ever!

And this is how the day ended purrrfectly! 🙂

The very next day, we had a get together with our cousins at the Golden Dragon. We went there to celebrate my birthday once again and to have a bowl of soup.

I also had a pre-birthday celebration with bae bae at Smokey Cauldron, the Harry Potter themed cafe. It was a mesmerizing experience. I will be sharing a review on Smokey Cauldron soon enough.

And Finally, I went out for a birthday lunch with Saira only because my other baby boo, Basma had some plans. So yeah, we ate too much pizza that our cheese level shot above the fatal scale 😀 Saira gave me a beautiful gladiolus 🙂
