Dreams are an unsolved mystery.
Dreams are the arbitrary shapes that are generated by the cotton candy machine. It consumes a lot of sugar and gives out the sweetest product to this world. Many people can not have this in real, but while they are asleep, they can munch on a mouth full of this fluff. However, sometimes dreams are a dungeon where you are trapped, and there are no doors and windows to escape.
Dreams are the only territory where any soul can glide to the highest of the skies, where one can dive into the deepest of the oceans, and sway with the unseen, magical breeze. Every morning, I wake up with a very strange and a different feeling because either I dreamed something really awkward the night before or saw something overwhelming.
In our literature class, we were discussing Virginia Woolf’s concept of “Stream of Consciousness.” Our professor argued that if somehow, we wake up amid the dream, we can never start the dream from the same place when we sleep again. Whereas, two other girls with me disagreed with this claim. I explained to him that I can dream the same dream for as many times as I want to start and from whichever part I like. Whereas he still resisted that no such thing can happen.
Well, then there are times when you wake up in the morning after watching the complete episode of the dream, and the moment you open up your eyes, you can not even recall the single moment. You can feel that you can recall it all, and you think really hard but cannot remember.
Dreams are a mystery that no age and civilization could succeed to solve. Some say they are illusions, others say they are visions; blueprints of one’s future life. Some say dreams have nothing to do with reality, they are an amalgam of needs, wants, expectations, lust, infatuation, love, wishes, and greed.
“They say dreams do come true, but they forget to tell that nightmares are dreams too.”
They say that dreams do come true, if that is the case, trust me none of my dreams in a life span of 22 years ever came true. 😀
