Learn to say “NO” at times.
We have a limit to our time, energy and interests.
Let’s talk about a very important human behavior that most of us observe these days. There have been many times, many days, when I asked multiple people for random stuff like homework on the leave day, assignments, course outline, paper pattern, and important questions, but the only answers that I got were “Hey, I am a little busy, I will get back to ya soon” or else, “Okay wait, I will send them to you in an hour” (though they never did).
Whereas, I have this particular habit of responding to people as quickly as I can, even if I have to go against my schedule, or out of my comfort zone. I can cease the party or a movie night for a while to send a few pictures of my notes to random people who don’t even talk to me on the campus.
See, if somebody asks you for something, send it right away because he needs at that very moment. Many people just make you wait for minutes, which then turn to hours and ultimately to “I am so sorry I forgot to get back to ya” This is wrong people! Try to respond to people in time and if you cannot, then learn to be patient when it’s your turn. Because when it’s our turn, we never want to be kept waiting. We want instant and abrupt results; within seconds. Life doesn’t work this way, if you want to earn without paying, you will ultimately lose everything when bankruptcy hits you hard!
“We all have these functioning brains built inside our heads that can remind you to eat and drink, breathe and sleep. So what’s wrong with understanding the concept of not being the scape-goat?”
I have worked out a lot on this habit of mine because what I believe is that this habit of mine is somehow making people impatient with me. They think that I am 24/7 available at their service while they can reject me with any kind of lamest excuse without a threat of accountability. Finally, I drew the conclusion that there is a line between helping others and getting used by them. I never understood this line before, but it is true that we all learn from our experiences. I know many girls who just rant all the time about being used by their friends, and that the world is selfish and cold with them.
Trust me, no ranting and complains are gonna get you through this. We all have these functioning brains built inside our heads that can remind you to eat and drink, breathe and sleep. So what’s wrong with understanding the concept of not being the scape-goat? Why don’t you understand that nobody is going to stand up for you except you, yourself?
Girls and Boys, stop letting people use you for their purposes, stop being the scape-goat, and learn to say no. This is not wrong, neither is mean in any way. However, if somebody is still ranting that “NO, I CANT SAY NO TO PEOPLE”, trust me they are playing with their self-respect, public image, and their inner character.
“Finally, I drew the conclusion that there is a line between helping others and getting used by them.”
I’ve seen people who complain that they can’t say no to people, fighting like animals when it came to their public image. That is when I realized that such people are just putting up a show to stir up the maximum drama in their lives and the life of people around them. They need attention and spotlight to be focused on them every time. While being honest, they are an explicit threat to all of us and we should try to keep a distance from such people.
“Sometimes, it’s better to let go for the good, than to stick for the destruction.”
See, no person is bad, it is just some people are not meant to be a part of our lives. Some people have an aura that can absorb all the light inside you. They have a different mindset than you have. Keeping up with such people, or trying to make things work out will only make things worse. A snake will always remain the snake because he is created to bite. It doesn’t mean that the snake is evil, but is just harmful. It is a reminder that we all are different from each other.
Hello beautiful souls!
This musing is just to remind you guys that stay safe, stay away from the people with negative energies. It is not their fault, they aren’t bad, it’s just that they will never change however hard you try. Sometimes, it’s better to let go for the good, than to stick for the destruction.

Adios,
xoxo.

Wonderful writeup & indeed true, i am still looking to get rid of this habit and learning to say NO at times when its most needed. People tend to take advantage of this habit and it feels really bad when you see someone is using you because most of the times its impossible to say NO but on the other hand you’re keep loosing your believe in faith.
Its a wonderful article and indeed a learning.
Positive vibes to you Princess!
