A little something.

Life is a constant journey where we all are gypsies, traveling here and there in search of one destination; Peace of mind. We all are seeking the contentment of heart and spiritual awakening so that we could see the unseen, witness the miracles and create wonderful things. On this spiritual journey, we are bound to move forward with the caravan or else we get lost into the darkest woods; unreachable. Those who stick together tend to see the breath-taking starry nights and conquer the mountains. This is society, and this is how it works. We all need someone special or a bunch of sweethearts to make our journey a worth-while experience.

Someone to toast in the moments of glee, lend a shoulder for shedding tears and hands to keep yours warm in the frosty nights. We all are different and sometimes we feel destitute and abandoned by society, however, there is always that someone special that is meant to be yours. The one who will own your flaws and accept you as it is, will bring the best version out of yourself and make you believe in your dreams. Even if a huge crowd is not your type, you have to stay put and stand tall. Make moves, speak to strangers, smile back and start conversations.

In our society, a vivacious diversity of natures could be seen. We are introverts, extroverts, neuters, soft-spoken, and chatterboxes. On this scale of variety, it is as great to have them all around us as an exotic collection of birds inside a cage. For instance, if I look at the people surrounding me, I can see numerous types of students. There are a lot of students who are not good speakers because they are introverts. Similarly, some cannot write efficiently because they are amazing spokespersons. Nonetheless, both are the refined form of their own identity. The students that are shrewd are bloomed with talent that need not be wasted by being monotonous, in fact, they can turn out to be amazing critics and philosophers if polished accordingly.

Next time, if you find people who differ from you in any way, talk to them. Ask them to tell you something about them, something new and interesting. What their perception about life is and what inspires them to be who they are. Most of us spend our lives contained in the shell of our own perceptions, thoughts, and beliefs. We absolutely neglect what we can do better and that is the reason why most of us fail to reckon the true purpose of our lives and expertise.

Tips to surround yourself with positivity.

Hello beautiful souls,

I hope you all are as charming as always and cherishing your life to bits 🙂 I am here with a new article that I’ve been wondering to write on for the past two days. This is about how you can surround yourself with positive vibes all the time without being bored, lazy and depressed. So without any further delay, let’s dive into the blog <3

1. Keep your space clean:

Be it your room, personal study, working space, or research cubicle, make sure you keep your space neat, clean, and organized.

2.jpg

study led by associate professor Nicole R. Keith, Ph.D., research scientist and professor at Indiana University, found that people with clean houses are healthier than people with messy houses. Keith and her colleagues tracked the physical health of 998 African Americans between the ages of 49 and 65, a demographic known to be at an increased risk for heart disease. Participants who kept their homes clean were healthier and more active than those who didn’t. In fact, house cleanliness was even more of a predictor for physical health than neighborhood walkability.

r1.jpg

A 2010 study published in the scientific journal Personality and Social Psychology Bulletin used linguistic analysis software to measure the way 60 individuals discussed their homes. Women who described their living spaces as “cluttered” or full of “unfinished projects” were more likely to be depressed and fatigued than women who described their homes as “restful” and “restorative.” The researchers also found that women with cluttered homes expressed higher levels of the stress hormone cortisol.

In 2011, researchers at Princeton University found that clutter can actually make it more difficult to focus on a particular task. Specifically, they found that the visual cortex can be overwhelmed by task-irrelevant objects, making it harder to allocate attention and complete tasks efficiently.

3.jpg

survey conducted by the National Sleep Foundation found that people who make their beds every morning are 19 percent more likely to report regularly getting a good night’s sleep. People who were surveyed also reported benefits from having clean sheets — specifically, 75 percent of people said they get a better night’s rest when their sheets are freshly cleaned because they feel more comfortable. (Psychology Today, 2016)

 2. Organize Yourself:

Organizing yourself is the easiest thing in this world to do right now. In this modern era of technology where people are becoming quite organized and sensible day by day, it is very easy to get planners, and organizers from different websites and online stores. Planners give you a next-level sense of responsibility and future planning.

pl1.jpg

From to-dos to the grocery list, from tasks to homework, from house chores to paying bills, from class schedules to birthday reminders, everything can be penned-down in a single notebook that you can proudly call as your planner. I decorated a beautiful planner in last winter vacations and am using it successfully since then. I also implemented several creative ideas like my yearly transformation to track down my fashion sense and photography skills enhancement. I will stick a fresh picture ate the end of every month below the respective month name. Also, I created a birthday tracker of my friends and family that helped me in reminding the birthdays of my friends which I always forget otherwise, thus earning much disappointment.

3. Time for a Change:

I don’t know about others, but a lot of Asians seems to have this particular habit of keeping the old things for years while purchasing new things simultaneously. It is totally understandable that some things are very dear to us and we cherish them forever, but we shall keep this in mind that:

A change is always beautiful!

c1.jpg

Have an old rose-flower pot on your study for two years? Time to replace it with new crystal crockery with fresh lilies instead. Have a vintage wallpaper in your room for too long? Why not try a summer color this time? Have a cute cactus by your bedside? Let’s bring a sunflower pot in its place this season. Been sipping on this bright red mug all winters? The whole supermarket is filled with beautiful new mugs in pastel colors that you are absolutely going to love. Replacing old things with new ones always help to rejuvenate your mind and keeping your soul alive. Whereas, decluttering the old stuff is important to avoid mess and useless cluttering. It is true that old is gold, but a fresh change always motivates us to do something beautiful and unique. A change always helps us in making miracles happen.

4. Green heals the soul:

g3.jpg

Color psychology suggests that different colors can evoke psychological reactions. For example, color is often thought to have an impact on moods and emotions. Sometimes these reactions are related to the intensity of a color, while in other cases they are the product of experience and cultural influences.

How does the color green make you feel? For many people, it has strong associations with nature and immediately brings to mind the lush green of grass, trees, and forests. Perhaps because green is so heavily associated with nature, it is often described as a refreshing and tranquil color.

“Green, which is Nature’s colour, is restful, soothing, cheerful, and health-giving.”          – Paul Brunton

gr2.jpg

According to color psychology, green is a color of balance and harmony which is very important to keep your mind and thoughts intact while living. The green color is reported to give you a sense of fresh start and a punch of positive thoughts and ideas every morning. To inculcate green in your environment, you can go from minimal to grandeur. From keeping a cactus on your bedside to raising a palm tree in your garden, from hanging a spider plant in your window to growing a dragon tree in your living room, you can surround yourself with the greens, and ultimately attracting the positive aura.

gr1.jpg

Green is a color that can evoke powerful emotions. It is a dominant color in nature that makes you think of growth. Think of nature and see the incredible variety of shades of green expressing renewal and life. Green evokes a feeling of abundance and is associated with refreshment and peace, rest and security.  Green helps people feel rested and secure. People are invited to wait in the “green room” before going on camera to relax. Many doctors even use green in their offices to put patients at ease. Green encourages a balance in your brain that leads to decisiveness. However, green may also be perceived negatively when associated with materialism, envy, and possessiveness (Christi Wharton, 2019)

5. Do not argue about un-knowledgeable things:

It is the most common behavior of us humans that we have to participate in almost everything even if we are unacquainted by the context and background knowledge. I have learned this thing from my personal experience actually!

sn.jpg

A lot of the times, if some controversy breaks out, we all become the scholars and start judging or defending a certain party without knowing the whole story, and without analyzing both sides. This behavior is spreading 99% of the negativity in this world today. What actually happens is that when we start a social media fight without complete knowledge, and somebody else (who is acknowledged and learned) confronts us, we, unable to defend our claim start being intolerant by bad-mouthing, hating and criticizing the character of the other person. Such a situation creates a very destructive atmosphere where we learn nothing but extremism, intolerance and destructive criticism. Also, as a piece of advice, stay away from politics if you want your mind to work without any bounds and bias. Live as an individual and give your stance likewise without being under any impact and influence.

6. Witness Maximum Positivity:

What if you decorate your bedroom’s wall with all the bloodshed and warfare images from the time of Hitler? ff3How would you feel whenever you’d look at those pictures throughout the day and the night? On the other hand, if you put up vibrant frames displaying positive quotations, rainbow and sunshine depiction, plants and unicorn portrayals, you would feel completely different than the earlier scenario.

Being a student, I own four notebooks, a bag, planner, laptop, phone, USB, wallet, makeup bag, pencil pouch and a collection of different pens and markers. To witness the maximum positivity, I decorate my notebooks myself in the vacations or the semester break with all of my favorite morale-boosting quotations. ff2

Moreover, I have made a bunch of photo frames and wall-hangings displaying my own happy-drawings and positive-paintings. You can also implement this witness-maximum-positivity phenomenon in your life and trust me you will feel an emergence of positive aura inside yourself. I made multiple bookmarks to help myself in not-giving-up on a book and to carry on with a punch of colorful motivation. My planner also has this new-year-resolution front page that reminds me of what I have achieved so far and what is already left, what do I need to improve and how better can I get? Being a free-lancer, I have selected a minimal laptop wallpaper that says “Create” and trust me the wallpaper alone helps me with writing new things and creating new ideas when I am feeling bland. I also decorated one of my notebooks with my favorite J.K. Rowling’s quote that says:

“It is important to remember that we all have magic inside us!”

This quote helps me in my mood swings throughout the lectures, it boosts my morale when I score lesser than expected in any exam, and cheers me up when I achieve something great! Below is a collection of my personal contribution to make my life witness more positivity throughout the day. 🙂

I hope this article would help most of you guys. Happy Blogging! 🙂

Adios,

xoxo.

Fear is a prison but its time to break out!

Dearest Fear,

I have been encountering you in many fields of my life. Sometimes in the form of boogey-man beneath my bed, another day, when my eyes were closed while shampooing my hair, I felt there is someone behind me, watching with long nails ready to pierce through my ribs.

“Fear is a constant feeling of horror that clings to our ribs throughout our lives.”

This feeling dominates in the times especially when we are alone and depressed. I can bet that each and every person on this planet has a different definition of fear. For me, it could be a ladybird entering my brain through my nose, for someone else, it could be losing their loved ones, rejection, mockery, disrespect, defamation, heights, depths, water, buildings, earthquakes, and what not.

Despite the fact that fear feels so so real, and even at times it deems to take us inside our graves. However, fear is just a delusion that one can easily overcome by one and only “Encounter.” If you fear something, keep this thing in mind that it is just a misinterpretation of reality. That nothing about fear is real, you are living, breathing and conscious. You can beat any danger, any trial, any challenge. All you have to do is to believe in yourself and be confident. Fear fades like a vulnerable flame of the candle that can die with a single blow of courage. And after that, nobody can stop you from achieving your goals.

Well, the reason that I am writing to you is that I got rid of one of my fears tonight.

Image result for playground climbing equipmentsYou recognize this arched monkey climber? This is what I feared the most whenever I stepped inside any playground since my early days. Today, after 22 years of my life, I finally overcame this fear. I climbed halfway through it the first day, increased one rod the other day, hung like a monkey on the top rod on the third day, screamed to my sisters for help, felt like I am gonna seep through the gaps like a slime 😀 But finally, I was able to do it with a hard lump in my stomach tonight. I got it!

What I actually did was that I made it very clear to myself that it is just a feeling that I can seep through the gaps. This has got nothing to do with the reality as I am big enough not to fall down 😀 It took me so long to make it through but once I completed the whole arch, I ran to do it again. And I climbed it three times in a row then.

Other than this, I recently got an interview call for internship from one of the summer schools. Now, I have this specific feeling of discomfort, awkwardness, and indecisiveness. I don’t know what to do, either to go for the interview or not, what would happen, what if they don’t like my answers, what if  I broke down there and if I had a panic attack, and much more is going on inside my mind at the moment. This fear can only be defeated by appearing for the interview and I am looking forward to that. Let’s hope for the best!

Heya beautiful souls, I hope you are living a fearless life with a lot of positivity and propagative activities going on around you. It is just a sweet reminder to believe in yourself and to conquer the dark territory of fear with that light inside you. The light of positivity!

Adios,

xoxo.

How do I Organize my Blog Posts?

While scrolling down the Instagram feed, did you ever ponder upon how can some blogs look gorgeously aesthetic? Once upon a time on a cold winter night, it worked out for me too when I started getting more audience on my WordPress Blog.

See I started with one or two followers and fortunately, I was able to grow my audience up-to 800+ people. This curiosity made me dig into stuff, and these are some tips and tricks that I found out meanwhile. I hope this post will help you guys in maintaining an even more amazing blog than you already have.

1. Carry a planner Every time:

plan.png

Every morning when I prepare my bag for the university, the first thing that I keep in my bag is a tiny planner. No matter where I am going, a planner is a must-to-have. Wondering why? I was sitting in a cozy coffee shop, reading “Three Daughters of Eve”. As I closed the book, I stumbled upon many amazing ideas or a stream of the writer’s consciousness you can say. I opened up my bag and penned down all those ideas on my planner. Turned out, those ideas shaped up into a wonderful prose that I published on my blog later that evening.

2. Stick to the theme:

theme.jpg

Do you ever feel that whenever you open up your blog to write something new, your posts tend to revolve around a specific core idea or theme? Because this surely happens with me. Whenever I start writing my blog, my blog eventually inclines toward a specific idea every time. My blog deems incomplete to me if it is not giving some positive message to the people. “Positive Vibes Only”, for instance, is my ultimate goal and I religiously stick to this aura no matter what. As per my experience, most of the people are contributing to an idea when they write their posts but the idea here should refer to the needs of the people. Your idea should be helpful to your audience in a unique way, because this is the only thing that will make people genuinely interested in your blog. Your blogs should be diverse and colorful, yet there should be a signature theme that makes you stand out amongst a million others out there.

3. Understand your Audience:

Learning about your audience is the major part of any publication either a blog or book. While writing, the writer must always keep his/her audience in mind; about their background knowledge, their expertise, their language, beliefs and many more. If I am writing in English, it is because most of my audience is from regions like the UK, America, Nigeria, India, Pakistan, UAE, Canada and other countries where English is widely understood. If I start writing in Korean, maybe just 5% of my total audience might be able to understand it, thus making 95% of them to lose interest in my work. Your audience plays a primary role in developing your blog into a super success.

Other than that, your blogs shall be very well-explanatory. If you are writing about a current issue that just took place in your region, you should provide a thorough background history of the event to accommodate the unacquainted audience. Always write your content thinking that the reader might be amateur or unacquainted with the topic under discussion.

4. Use Striking Layouts:

ae.jpg

No matter how old we grow, our cravings for aesthetic images, rainbow unicorns, and neon lights can never die. Whatever content you are publishing on your blog, just make sure the layout goes beautifully with your ideas. If you are an aesthetic freak, white is your color. However, if your blogs demand a punk layout, variations of black, purple and hot pink will be the best option for you. If your visuals are pastel-ish, baby blue, baby pink, baby gray, and baby green will work wonders. Sparkling images can also be used to embellish your layouts which can include banana prints, pineapple patterns, coffee cups or any prints that go well with your posts.

5. Do not take a leave:

Image result for aesthetic traveling blogs and laptop

Many of us take leave from blogging due to our busy schedules during work days. Whereas, vacations also bring much more adventures and commitments to us. The point is, do not take a break, even if you’re out for shopping or are traveling places, make sure to turn on your data for a while and post a minimal post regarding your experience, your feelings, or even an apology for being unavailable. Just a single selfie will suffice your absence. Most of the time you lose your audience during the blogging break, which is an unhealthy catalyst for your blogging. The key to a successful blog is the connection, a strong bond between you and your readers. I also take long breaks from the blogging and trust me I lose substantial audience whenever I do so. While leaving for a vacation, make sure you pack your laptop or tablet for instant blogging on the way. Take out some time to write to people maybe while sipping on the coffee, or just before going to the bed.

6. Schedule your posts:

Whenever you feel like writing in bulk, make sure to schedule your posts. WordPress gives you an amazing post planner where you can always organize your posts. If you are feeling blue or do not feel like writing, you already have the bulk of posts scheduled over the week. The posts will be automatically get published on the scheduled date. If you are planning on taking a break or going somewhere remote, you can plan the posts for over the week or more.

7. Use Appealing Visuals:

lay.JPEG

While reading a post, do you ever feel yourself more inclined and appealed to the posts with striking images, adorable gifs, and startling videos as compared to those without the visuals? That is the answer, most of the people out there, who are reading your content, are the people like you and me. Do not forget to go through your website and analyze it from the angle of a reader. This will not only make you an avid observer, but also an improved blog creator. If your blog looks appealing to you, try to find something that the readers might find unpleasant. It may be your layout, the irrelevancy of the picture that you used with your content, or this and that. Visuals are more likely to grab the attention of the readers.

8. Giveaways Work Wonders:

give.png

We sometimes buy extra things from the store like highlighters, lipsticks, earrings, watches, jewelry, notebooks, fancy planners, and many more things that rot untouched on a dusty shelf in our room. I literally have 6 highlighters, that either I ordered online, or bought in person, but didn’t use at all because I feel like the highlighter that I am already using goes better with my skin. Sometimes, you buy a pack of nail paints and you just like two shades out of them, while the rest of the three rot in hell for life, untouched! Why not find a better way out to make somebody’s day, while keeping the stuff from being wasted? I have an even better idea!

No matter which platform are you blogging on, giveaways are a surefire way to win your readers’ hearts. It is not necessary to do expensive accessories or flattering makeup hauls for giveaways, rather you can give DIY bookmarks, planners, organizers, decorated notebooks and other such creative stuff to the people. The basic purpose of giveaways is to connect with maximum people. Your blog always gets a bulk of traffic whenever you are doing a giveaway. People are always up for getting surprise gifts, either fancy or simple. Because who doesn’t love free stuff???

9. Observe your Blog’s witching hours:

You know witches are mostly active during the witching hour. Psychological literature suggests that apparition experiences and sensed presences are most common between the hours of 2 and 4 a.m., corresponding with a 3 a.m. peak in the amount of melatonin in the body. More recently, the hours between midnight and 2 a.m. have been considered the witching hour.

Find your blog’s witching hour by noticing the time and days on which you get maximum post views, page views, likes, and shares. It happens that my blog receives the most traffic on Tuesdays. Is it the same for your blog? Do you know how to check? I use WordPress Analytics which shares everything from how many page views I receive to how many visitors are on my site at any given moment. Typically I like to publish posts on Tuesdays that I know will be popular among my readers since I think it gives them an even bigger boost.

I hope you guys will find this blog helpful!
